Anxiety, fear, suspense, has enveloped the land of Imo since the prophecy by Fr. Mbaka that Senator Hope Uzodinma will clinch the governorship position of the state.
The New Year prophecy from the renowned Catholic cleric has sent shivers down the spine of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) supporters as well as sympathizers of Governor Emeka Ihedioha.
Consequently, this has elicited some reactions from Imolites who fear that if the prophecy comes to pass it might truncate the good works the governor adjudged to be doing in the state through his rebuild Imo agenda. Some have called the Enugu born prophet names saying he is an APC apologist and money prophet.
However, the reprieve may be coming to those in sympathy with the PDP government of Emeka Ihedioha with a counter prophecy coming from another prophet of God, Prophet Chisom Ekwuonna. Ekwonna of the living ministries international who has earlier released his prophecy for the year declared with a tone of finality that, “Uzodinma can never be governor of Imo state. I am not seeing him there, neither can any Orlu man occupy that position for now”.
When reminded that Mbaka’s prophecy does not fail, he told Weekend Nigerian Horn, write what I told you, “We shall see who hears from God at the end.” It would be recalled that primate Ayodele had in a Sunday Nigerian Horn publication last weekend declared that Governor Emeka Ihedioha would triumph at the Supreme Court to retain his seat in the pending governorship tussle.
The IMO number one seat is contested by Senators Ifeanyi Araraume of the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) and Hope Uzodinma (APC) respectively. Uche Nwosu of the Action Alliance (AA) was also contesting the position before he was edged out by a Supreme Court ruling.
Earlier, in his New Year predictions, Ekwonna had stated that Ihedioha and his group should do strong prayers to avert the cancellation of his mandate leading to a re-run. He had previously shortly before the Government Election Tribunal (GEPT) ruling predicted that Hope Uzodinma cannot be governor and is maintaining it.
It will be recalled that in the past that the Amaigbo born prophet has accurately predicted a number of events that came to pass. Some of his prediction that came to pass include the travails of the former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Justice Onnoghen, and the loss of Atiku at the Supreme Court. This time last year he warned the outgone governor Rochas Okorocha to make peace with Imolites before the election or he will be disgraced.
