A 39-year-old unemployed man, Segun Awoleye, who allegedly tried to steal a car on Monday appeared in an Ikorodu Magistrates’ Courtroom docket in Lagos.

The police charged Awoleye, whose tackle was not supplied, with a misdemeanor.

He, however, pleaded not accountable to the cost. The prosecution Counsel, Sgt. Mary Ajiteru, instructed the courtroom that the defendant devoted the offence on Jan. 24 at No; 17, Olumide Awosanya avenue; off unity property, Ojokoro village, Owutu space in Ikorodu.

Ajiteru alleged that the defendant tried to open a Toyota Camry belonging to no less than one Bayo Adegboyeya with the intention to steal.

The offence, he acknowledged, contravened the provisions of Half 21 (5) of felony Legislation of Lagos State, 2015. Justice of the Peace O.M.Dawodu admitted the defendant to bail inside the sum of N100, 000 with one surety in like sum.

He adjourned the case until March. 5 for point out.
