The former Super Eagles legend and Tanzania coach, Emmanuel Amuneke has been appointed head coach of Egyptian side Misr El-Makasa following the sack of Ahmed Hossan Mino.
Amuneke who confirmed the appointment to DiegweSports late on Tuesday evening failed to disclose the duration of the contact. However, the former FC Barcelona star said he was well pleased to join the Egyptian Premier League side.

Mido was sacked on Wednesday after losing 3-1 to Pyramids FC on Tuesday in the Egypt Premier League. Makasa has not won any of their last 10 league games since their last win on 17 October 2019, a 1-0 victory over Al Masry SC.
Amuneke previously coached Nigeria’s U-17 FIFA World Cup-winning team of 2015 he was appointed head coach of Tanzania since 1980.

Amuneke parted ways with Tanzania mutually after a group stage exit at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
