Rita Dominic, a popular Nollywood actress says only people with poverty mentality believe showing of wealth on social media means you are doing well.
The actress made this known in her Instagram stories on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. According to her a lot of people believe social media has become a yardstick to measure wealth.
“So social media has become the yardstick to measure wealth? Lol, so some people think because you don’t post certain things like designer labels, holidays, how much you have, etc on your page, means you are not balling? Wow! Poverty mentality much? Happiness or in your words balling means different things to different people. This life isn’t that serious, be happy you are alive and healthy first and foremost #Selah”.
Some other celebrities like Tonto Dikeh, however, have advised fans not to get carried away with the glitters and glamour on social media. She made this known on her Instagram page on Wednesday, February 5, 2020, stating that people should not be deceived into thinking it is as easy as it looks on social media.
