Philippines reports the first local transmission of new coronavirus

The Philippines on Friday revealed the first local transmission of the new Coronavirus (Covid-19) in the nation, following a 62-year-elderly person with no movement history tried constructively for the illness.

The man was admitted to a medical clinic with serious pneumonia on March 1, and tried positive for Covid-19 on Thursday, Health Secretary Francisco Duque said.
