Making Good decision requires us to balance the seemingly antithetical forces of emotion and rationality. We must be able to predict the future accurately to perceive the present situation. Psychologically, making a good decision is regarded as the cognitive process resulting in the selection of a belief or a course of action among several alternative possibilities.
Decision making is the process of identifying and choosing an alternative based on the values, preferences and beliefs of the decision-maker. Every decision-making process produces a final choice, which may or may not prompt action.
In making a good decision, it can be regarded as problem-solving activity yielding a solution deemed to be optimal, or at least satisfactory, which can be more or less rational or irrational and can be based on explicit or tacit knowledge and belief. Tacit knowledge is often used to fill the gap in complex decision-making processes. Usually, both of this knowledge is tacit and explicit which is used together in the process of decision making. The decision making can be of two different ways which are a positive or negative decision.
1; POSITIVE DECISION MAKING; in order to receive a positive decision, the starting pitcher must complete at least innings and leave with the lead. You must have look forward or backwards and know what any decision you take so far which may result for you, that is to say, that, you are sure of yourself and your dream as well. Remember, making your decision you must be matured by reasoning, by being pragmatic reasoned or a rational thinker in other not to make mistake. a positive decision is also what we want the future to be.
2; NEGATIVE DECISION MAKING; negative decision are made based on previous history and an expectation that history will repeat itself. That is to say that negative decision is based on fear.

1; MORE VALUE TO WHATEVER YOU DO; good decision making is essential skills for the tremendous need for good decision-makers in today’s world. When your students improve their skills, they will increase their value in their future jobs, families and communities.
2; MORE FORWARD WITHOUT WORRY; decision making involves choices. Many people are afraid to make a decision because they may make the wrong one. Good decision making does not depend on an educational background as much as common sense, teach your children or students that common sense, general knowledge, and their value systems which is the most important criteria for good making.
3; TO HAVE MORE EXPERIENCE; we learn to make a decision through experience .therefore, time will tell if a decision is good or bad.
4; IT GIVES MORE MOTIVATION; when the workers see that their manager has a great decision-making skills., it gives them something to emulate as they grow in their professional positions .giving an idea that you are comfortable with making decisions until you really feel so, your employees will learn from you and become independent workers who don’t need to come to you with every question.
5; MORE INCREASE IN PRODUCTIVITY; this means that all working professionals can attest the task and by approving his/her professional skills. However, when a boss can weigh the pros and cons of a task and provide a good decision, it allows the employees to start working on its faster, thus increasing productivity.
REASONS WHY WE SHOULD MAKE GOOD DECISION
To make a good decision, we must first understand that our decision after more than just ourselves, it affects the people around us. It’s important to understand making good decisions. We need to ask ourselves, who will be affected by the decision I make, today. Therefore, let look at the four reasons so far.
1; INFLUENCE; according to a dictionary, the word ‘ influence ‘ means having the power or capacity to be compelling or producing effects on the actions, behaviours and opinions of others. This means that you have the power to produce an effect on a person’s actions, behaviours and opinion based upon the decision you make. as an older brother/sister and Christian in the family, I don’t only think about myself when it comes to making decisions but also the people who look up to me –my siblings and friends whether I like it or not, whether I decide to do will impact the lives of others.
2; YOUR LIFE AS AN EXAMPLE; your life is an example to others on how to or how not to live. As the oldest, my life is an example to my siblings on how to handle a variety of situations. This includes things such as how to respond to those who are rude, how to manage money, how to be responsible, how to shop on a budget and so on.
3; LONG TERM AFFECTS; every solitary decision you make affects you, in the long run, one way or another. By making a decision to budget my finances, I can expect slowly but surely to get out of debt. Also by making a decision to learn one new word every day has a long term effect of giving me an extensive vocabulary. Every decision you make today will impact your tomorrow.
4; LIVING WITH REGRETS; oftentimes, people make poor decisions. That is fine by them, we all make mistake (even i). However, I think it’s important to learn from the decisions we make. Choosing not to learn from poor decisions can result in a life full of regrets. A word like ‘ I wish I did not do this If I was only done. You can go back in time changing things of the past but you can decide today that you will make good decisions that will give you satisfying appeasing, joyful results.
