The Kano State House of Assembly on Monday suspended five of its individuals for a half year regarding a week ago’s fracas in the Assembly.
The Speaker, Abdulazeez Gafasa, who declared the suspension of the individuals at the resumption of Monday’s sitting of the Assembly, said the individuals were suspended for supposed unfortunate behaviour and infringement of the principles of the House.
The individuals suspended incorporate Garba Ya’u Gwarmai speaking to Kunchi/Tsanyawa voting demographic, Labaran Abdul Madari speaking to Warawa body electorate, Isyaku Ali Danja speaking to Gezawa body electorate, Mohammed Bello speaking to Rimingado/Tofa supporters and Salisu Ahmed Gwangwazo speaking to Kano Municipal separately.
“The five individuals are suspended for disregarding the principles of the House particularly Order IV Sub 4 a, b, d and e disturbed the sitting of the House and kept procedures from going on.
“They carried on savagely and even endeavoured to grab away the mace in an away from to undermine the sitting of the House,” Gafasa said.
At the resumption of last Monday’s sitting of the House, a few individuals had apparently disturbed the sitting over supposed designs to evacuate the previous Emir.
The sitting was upset when an advisory group burdened with the duty to research Sanusi was going to present its report to the House.
The board of trustees’ report was said to have prescribed the deposing of the previous Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.
