Umuezeike, Umuezeala- Ama is an ancient but peaceful autonomous community in Nsu clan of Ehime MBANO Council area of Imo state.
Apart from agricultural products, this stony community is not well known to tourism and it is a typical African rural community subjected to neglect by all the tiers of government. The major commercial transportation means enrooted to this community with a population of over 10,000 persons in motorcycle popularly known in the area as Okada.
Ironically, this community is just less than 2 kilometres to Umuelemai, the council’s headquarters and less than a kilometre to the most popular rural market in Mbano ancient kingdom known as Orie Ama Market.
Interestingly, this is the ancestral community of one of the best ever produced medical consultant in Nigeria, a highly respected and celebrated surgeon in international communities, Dr chineme Mike Anyaeze and his wife Lady Barr. Pamela Chinuruolum (Osodieme) who through their philanthropy electrified the sloppy community for two days with comprehensive free medical treatment to the people of the area and it’s environing and distribution of wrappers and various agricultural products to thousands of windows, indigents and less privileged members of the society. The activities which was anchored and executed through Six C Foundation (a non-government organization started with a free comprehensive free medical services that included surgeries to over three hundred patients at Six C Hospitals complex, Umuezuike and then a thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s catholic church Umuezeala-Ama where Osodieme gave an emotionally but goose-pimpled testimonies of the good news of the lord to her and her family.
Many of the participants paid glaring tributes to the chairman and management of Six C foundation for their labour for love to humanity.
Dr Chuck Okeada who hails from Umuezala Nsu but based in Houston Texas as a psychiatric medical doctor with 22 years experience noted that his voluntary participation is borne out of the commitment in ensuring good health to the people.
Okeadu while commending Dr Anyaeze for his compassion to humanity noted that many of the patients complained of illness like malaria, Typhoid, Diabetes, blood pressures etc and they offered them the needed treatment even as some people with hymenia and appendix were equally operated.
HRH Eze Dr Oliver Ohanwe, the obi gburugburu of Ihim ancient Kingdom who was the Chairman of the two-day historic events noted that Dr Anyaeze has done the free medical mission for over 10 years noting that over 5,000 persons have benefitted from his milk of human kindness.
Eze Ohanwe lamented that ensuring good health delivering system would have been the fundamental responsibilities of the government but regretted that if not people Dr Anyaeze many people would have joined their ancestors earlier enough.
The foremost traditional ruler enjoined government on the need to give priority attention to the people’s health, especially those living in rural areas noting Dr Anyaeze as an embodiment of humanity and philanthropy.
For HRH Eze Aloysius Onyekachilgwe (KSM), Ezeala Umuezeala-Ama, the crown head of Umuezeala ancient Kingdom expressed gratitude to Six-C Foundation for their commitments in touching lives.
EzeIgwe noted that he has a lot of wealthy individuals in his kingdom but is only Dr Anyaeze and Chief Richard Onyemaobi that are persistent in helping the poor and other less privileged members of the community and solicited for God’s blessing and favours upon their lives.
For HRH EzeWillians Ikemefule John, Aku 1 of Aku in Okigwe Local government area expressed gratitude for the free medical treatment and philanthropy to indigent members of the community advising wealthy individuals and corporate organizations to emulate the sponsor.
Eze Ikemefula commented Mbano ancient nation for always being their brother’s keepers and enjoined Okigwe people on the being exhibited by the people of Mbano.
In his reaction, Chief Hillary Obi said that he was not surprised over the philanthropy gestures of Dr Anyaeze and his wife taking into account their family background and foundation.
Obi enjoined the sponsor not to relent no matter the challenges noting also in life it is very difficult to please everybody.
Responding, Dr Chineme Anyaeze informed that since 2004, they have consistently pursued the mission of health care, agriculture and human capital development while commending the workers for sustaining the Six C project of promoting health, creating jobs, creating wealth, making human being better persons and alleviating poverty all anchored in assisting to rebuild Imo State.
Dr Anyaeze who expressed gratitude to Dr Chuck Okeadu and Lady Chinyere Nwaobasi as a volunteered medical team that came from the USA also thanked HRH Eze AloyIgweh, HRH Eze Oliver Ohanwe, HRH Eze Williams Ikemefule, Dr Ebeziem B. Ebeziem and Chief Ephraim Ihezie among others for their unflinching support and encouragements.
