Germany is extending its entry restrictions at six national borders to air and shipping traffic, the inside ministry mentioned late Wednesday.
EU residents coming from Austria, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Luxembourg and Denmark will not be allowed into Germany by air or sea until there may be an “urgent cause to travel,” mentioned the interior ministry in a press release.
Travelers coming from EU nations might solely land at a German airport if they’re touring from their original destination to their home nation.
Germany had imposed the land border closures with these six nations earlier this week.
Earlier today, German Chancellor Angela Merkel warned the public: She requested all residents to play their half in containing the pandemic.
