Day by day Sun accumulated that the fire began at about 4 am purportedly from a left vehicle in the market. The state fire boss Mr Martin Aghili who quickly assembled firefighters to showcase said that the fire flare-up radiated from a reserve stacked lorry pressed inside the market.
He said that the substance or the merchandise stacked in the stuffed lorry was not yet known. “Our firemen and fire engines at Onitsha and Awka were sent to the fire scene. “We are still at the fire scene despite the fact that the fire is levelled out. No life was lost during the occurrence,” he said.
