The Supreme Court will today hear and make professions on the application by previous legislative head of Imo State, Emeka Ihedioha, encouraging it to put aside the January 14 judgment that expelled him from office for Hope Uzodinma of the All Progressive Congress (APC).

The movement was documented by the lawful group headed by Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN) for Mr Ihedioha with the supplication that the peak court put aside its judgment as a nullity as it was acquired by extortion in a suit of advances Nos: SC. 1462/2019; SC/1470/2019; CA/OW/GOV/05/2019 and petition No: EPT/GOV/IM/08/2019 between Senator Hope Uzodinma of the APC and Emeka Ihedioha, the People’s Democratic Party and Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

On this ground, Ihedioha presented that “the Appellants/Respondents (Uzodinma), falsely misdirected this court into holding that a sum of 213,495 votes was unlawfully avoided from the votes scored by the first litigant/respondent in the gubernatorial appointment of March 9, 2019, in Imo State. The primary litigant/Respondent conceded under interrogation that he was the individual (and not the third Respondent [INEC] or any of its authorities) who registered the outcome that gave him the 213,495 votes affirmed to have been prohibited from his all-out votes in the political race.”

Be that as it may, reacting, Uzodimma in his starter complaint dated February 6, 2020, asked the court to strike it out the application by Ihedioha. Notwithstanding, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has cautioned that out and out a new political race would be satisfactory.

Pioneer of IPOP, Nnamdi Kalu, in a broadcast on Radio Biafra, yesterday, directed the appointed authorities to regard the desires of the individuals and invert the judgment or require a new political race. “Regardless of what their arrangement is, Imo (Supreme Court) judgment must not stand. We are cautioning the entire world, I don’t have a clue who Emeka Ihedioha is; honestly, I couldn’t care less, however, what occurs in Imo influences, everyone. It must not be permitted to remain to dodge fiasco and bedlam.” Kanu asserted that the main explanation the APC-drove Federal Government need to have Imo at all expense is to have the senator as numbskull to consummate its mystery designs in the state.

Bayelsa isn’t critical to them, what they are searching for is IMO. I don’t need individuals to be driven off track by the judgment that was gotten in Bayelsa case,” he said.

In the interim, the Imo Diaspora Coalition for Justice and Democracy has asked the pinnacle court to reestablish Ihedioha. In a letter routed to the Supreme Court judges, the gathering required the rebuilding of Ihedioha’s command and the respectability of the legal executive.

The gathering told the Supreme Court that it was the last line of protection for safeguarding the respectability of the country’s legal executive, the sacredness of the voting form, the youngster vote based system and turning away turmoil in the nation. “May God give you the mental fortitude to remain the bastion of equity for the normal man? Do notice to the supplication of Ndi Imo for the rebuilding of him who shares their qualities and whom they decided in favour of Emeka Ihedioha,” the alliance said.
