Non-Governmental Organization, Vicar Hope Foundation has disclosed that it has so far trained six hundred Abians have so far been trained under its Springboard Skill Acquisition Training and Empowerment Programme within a period spanning 2016 to 2019
The founder of the foundation and wife of the State governor Mrs. Nkechi Ikpeazu who revealed this in a message from the foundation is still aiming to train and equip 1065 persons before the programme ends.

According to release made available to newsmen in Umuahia, Wednesday and signed by her Chief press Secretay Chika Ojiegbe, said that 450 persons have received equipment and capital running into millions of naira while 150o others who finished training at the end of 2019 will receive equipment in a few weeks.
Mrs Ikpeazu further disclosed that equipment so far distributed include computer sets, hair salon equipment, sewing machines and other equipment germane to photography, clothes-making , hairdressing, cosmetics making, events planning, confectioneries, shoe-making etc. She said new trainees will be absorbed early this year while the foundation is introducing courses in business plan development, bookkeeping, and financial management, as well product marketing strategies so that trainees can grow their businesses in the long run.
